Working in a hospital, I encounter people of all ages facing health crises. Unfortunately, many are unprepared for the worst—illness or death. Most people don’t fully understand the limitations of their health plans. My role involves educating patients and their families, helping them coordinate covered services, and providing guidance on where and how to seek additional support.

Tragically, I often see families who lack the financial resources to hire caregivers or pay for residential care facilities. Parents of young children with terminal illnesses weigh heavily on my mind, as I wonder how the surviving parent (if there is one) will manage to raise the kids alone.

It’s heartbreaking every time I hear of someone’s passing and see a GoFundMe campaign created to cover funeral costs. What happens to the children after the funeral? How will a father pay the mortgage and feed his family without his partner’s help? For those who are critically ill, friends and relatives may step in briefly, but what happens when that help runs out? How can families afford the care they need during such difficult times?

While we can’t control every unwelcome life event, we can take steps to prepare and minimize its impact.

As a financial professional licensed in multiple states, I provide solutions to help families navigate these challenges. I find peace of mind knowing that the very products I offer have safeguarded my own family’s future.
